Early Emergent Reading Stage (levels 1-2)

During the integral Early Emergent Developmental Stage, the Flying Start to Literacy program:

  • Establishes a full range of concepts about print
  • Introduces common stems and key vocabulary
  • Introduces the first 26 high-frequency words
  • Focuses on phonemic awareness and introduces letters (common sounds)
