| Ongoing assessment forms part of each teaching sequence. Each Lesson Plan identifies a reading strategy as a focus for an individual book, and provides monitoring points to alert the teacher to observe how each student is using a selected strategy. The program is supported by AlphaAssess, a comprehensive benchmarking kit providing benchmarking books and assessment forms for 28 levels of difficulty aligned to reading recovery levels.
